The Alternate Path between Qigong and Tai Chi
The Villages Qigong Club learned of Shibashi from the videos supplied by Sifu Wing Cheung. Over the last 5/6 years this practise has been enjoyed by many Villagers.
We started with Shibashi #One then progressed to Shibashi #Two. Last workshop we were intoduced to Shibashi #Three.
Tai Chi/ Qigong/ Shibashi is one of the most popular qigong
exercises worldwide.
In sets 1-3 you practice the 18 movements in a flowing sequence. However, set 4 is quite different than sets 1-3. As it is better to call it 18 different methods for treating 18 different problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, arthritis, sciatica, obesity, stroke, cancer, and weakness in kidneys, stomach, and liver …. You don’t have to practice all the 18 methods together. You just choose the particular methods according to your personal situation and then practice them diligently.
Here are other examples of Shibashi from other sources.
